Online Education Terms & Conditions

Updated 12 September 2023

1. Agreement

Genesis Research Services Pty Ltd (“Genesis Research Services”, “GRS, “we”, “us, “our”) provides its online education (“courses”) via its website (www.genesisresearchservices.com). Courses are delivered via the ‘LearnDash’ learning management system (LMS). Use of the Genesis Research Services online education is subject to the following Online Education Terms and Conditions.

These Online Education Terms and Conditions are to be read in conjunction with our general Terms and Conditions, which together, comprise the Agreement between you and us (“Agreement”).

By accessing and using the Genesis Research Services online education, you (the “user”) agree that you have read and accept the terms of this Agreement.

2. Course Access

To access a course, you must register for a student account and purchase the course. If you do not already have a student account, you will be asked to create one during checkout. Registration and purchase instructions (including bulk purchasing for multiple users) are described in the course product information pages and on our Frequently Asked Questions page.

You will have immediate access to the course(s) once payment has been processed. Your purchased course(s) will be accessible from your Student Account page. If you have any issues accessing a purchased course, please send an email to reception@genesisresearchservices.com

Course Expiry

Access to our Good Clinical Practice (ICH GCP) Training Course will expire two (2) years from the date of enrolment (purchase date). This is to allow for GCP recertification, which is typically required every three (3) years. After this time, you may repurchase the course and re-train prior to your certificate expiry date. If you require yearly recertification, please send an email to reception@genesisresearchservices.com to request a manual course progress reset and enable repurchasing.

Access to our Research Fundamentals Training Course will not expire. You will have continued access to the course for as long as it is offered on our website. Please be aware that purchase of our Research Fundamentals Course comes with complementary access to our Good Clinical Practice (ICH GCP) Training Course, and the two (2) year expiry period will still apply to that course.

3. Inclusions

By registering and purchasing a course, you will receive immediate access to our online learning portal, which is accessible via your Student Account.

Course content is delivered in a series of units (lessons), each consisting of several topics. A link to download the course learning materials / study guide (PDF file) is provided on each lesson page.

A personalised certificate of completion will be available for you to download from your Student Account after marking all course units as complete and receiving a passing grade on the course assessment quiz(zes).

For detailed course descriptions, please view the course product pages and download the course brochures (PDF file) using the link provided in the course description (located under the “Add to cart” button).

Support

Please note, purchase of our courses does not include educational support. We will provide administrative support and technical assistance to assist you with troubleshooting common problems to the best of our ability. Please read our Frequently Asked Questions before contacting us for administrative / technical support.

4. Payment

Course payments are made online through our website cart and checkout process. We use a third-party payment provider, Eway, to accept and securely process payments.

We accept credit card and debit card payments. An alternate method of payment may be arranged if necessary. Please send an email to reception@genesisresearchservices.com if you require an alternative method of payment. You will not receive access to a course until payment has been received in full.

An invoice will be issued via email to the email address you supply once payment has been received.

Genesis Research Services will not be liable for and assumes no responsibility for any losses arising from or in connection with any errors or omissions with respect to payments processed by its third-party payment provider, Eway, or any fees or charges (including transaction fees, administrative fees, and currency conversion fees) imposed by a third-party payment provider, or your third-party payment service provider or financial institution.

5. Refund Policy

When you purchase a course via the Genesis Research Services website, you will receive immediate access to the course content and downloadable study guide. To protect our intellectual property rights, we do not offer refunds due to change of mind or user inactivity / non-completion.

You will be entitled to a refund in accordance with Australian Consumer Law. Additionally, you may be entitled to a full refund under the following circumstances:

  • Unresolved technical issues that prevent you from accessing the course. Supporting documentation for any technical issues that prevent you from accessing the course, including screenshots and a detailed description of the issue, noting date(s), time(s), and the type of device and internet browser you are using, must be provided to us via email within fourteen (14) days of your purchase date.
  • Genesis Research Services cancels the purchased course prior to your completion of the course without providing you with thirty (30) days written notice of cancellation.

If, for any reason, you are unable to complete a course that is scheduled to be cancelled, we are more than happy to discuss your eligibility for a full or partial refund.

A written request for a refund should be sent to reception@genesisresearchservices.com detailing the reason for your request with supporting documentation.

Once a refund request has been submitted, you will receive an email to confirm that we have received your request. You will be notified of the outcome within five (5) business days. If your request is approved, a full refund will be issued within thirty (30) days of notification of approval of your refund request.

6. Cancellation or Variation of a Course

Whilst every effort is made to avoid significant changes to our courses, Genesis Research Services reserves the right to withdraw or cancel a course at any time. We will give you at least thirty (30) days’ notice prior to any withdrawal or cancellation of a course. Notice of withdrawal or cancellation of a course will be provided by email and by notice published on our website.

Genesis Research Services may make minor changes to the course content or product information without notice. These include corrections of typographical errors, broken links or images, formatting fixes, wording improvements. We may also make changes and additions (without notice) to the course instructions and frequently asked questions published on the website to improve the user experience.

If major changes are to be made to the course content or product information, including changes to course pricing and content changes to reflect updates to scientific information or current guidance (e.g., ICH GCP), an announcement will be made and the changes will be published on the website. Current users may receive notice via email.
