Frequently Asked Questions (Research Courses)

General Questions

Currently, we have two courses on offer:

  1. An accredited Good Clinical Practice (ICH-GCP) Course for investigators and site personnel – this is a free course.
  2. A professional development Research Fundamentals Training Course – this is a paid course.

Our ICH-GCP Course is completely free. There are absolutely no costs associated with registering, enrolling, completing the course, doing the assessment, or obtaining a certificate. Please note that to enrol into this course, you will need “Add it to your cart” and complete a “Billing details” form as if you are purchasing a product, however, you will not be billed for this course.

Our Research Fundamentals Training Course is a paid course. We are currently offering this course at an introductory price of A$180 (inc. GST).

We initially created our GCP course for the purpose of training our own investigators and research staff, as well as our greater research network. We hope to grow our research network and establish ourselves as a reputable research service provider by providing this essential training for free.

Our ICH-GCP course and certificate are compliant with the TransCelerate Site Qualification and Training (SQT) Initiative, reflecting professional recognition for ICH E6 Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Training targeted to investigator site personnel. This means that our course meets the minimum criteria for mutual recognition of ICH E6 GCP Training, and that Genesis Research Services is recognised as a training provider and is listed on the TransCelerate website.

Ultimately, the decision to accept a certificate rests with the sponsor or organisation.

Most site investigators and research staff are required to complete GCP training every 3 years, or within 3 years of commencing a new study.

Our GCP course certificates expire 3 years after the completion date. After this timeframe, our investigators and staff must re-train to obtain a new certificate.

Training expectations may differ depending on the sponsor or local regulatory requirements.
