Frequently Asked Questions - Research Courses

General Questions

Currently, we have two courses on offer:

  1. A Good Clinical Practice (ICH GCP) Training Course for investigators and site personnel.
  2. A professional development Research Fundamentals Training Course.

For access to our Good Clinical Practice (ICH GCP) Training Course, we charge a small fee of AUD $10 (inc. GST).

Our Research Fundamentals Training Course is currently on offer for AUD $230 (inc. GST) and comes with complementary access to our ICH-GCP course.

We initially created our Good Clinical Practice Course for the purpose of training our own investigators and research staff, as well as our greater research network. By publishing our course online and providing this essential training for free, we hoped to grow our research network and establish ourselves as a reputable research service provider.

We now have over 10,000 users, with up to 20 new users registering each week. This small fee allows us to cover the increased administrative and running costs associated with the course. To make up for this, we have added a 71-page downloadable study guide to the course and have implemented a course progress reset feature that will refresh user progress after 2 years, allowing users to re-train prior to their certificate expiry date (3 years after course completion).

Access to our Good Clinical Practice (ICH GCP) Training Course comes free with purchase of our Research Fundamentals Training course.

If there is no tick, click on the lesson or topic, scroll to the bottom of the page, and click the Mark Complete button.

Once the course is 100% complete, return to the course main page or your Student Account page to download your certificate.

Our Good Clinical Practice (ICH GCP) Course and certificate are compliant with the TransCelerate Site Qualification and Training (SQT) Initiative, reflecting professional recognition for ICH E6(R2) Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Training targeted to investigator site personnel. This means that our course meets the minimum criteria for mutual recognition of ICH E6(R2) GCP Training, and that Genesis Research Services is recognised as a training provider and is listed on the TransCelerate website.

Ultimately, the decision to accept a certificate lies with the sponsor or organisation.

Most site investigators and research staff are required to complete GCP training every 3 years, or within 3 years of commencing a new study.

Our Good Clinical Practice (ICH GCP) Training Course certificates expire 3 years after the completion date. After this time, our investigators and staff must re-train to obtain a new certificate. User course progress will reset after 2 years, allowing users to re-train prior to their certificate expiry date.

Training expectations may differ depending on the sponsor or local regulatory requirements.

If you require recertification sooner than 2 years, please send an email to reception@genesisresearchservices.com and request a manual reset. You will then be able to repurchase the course and re-train.
